How To Find My Transaction On The Blockchain?

When you send money using your bank account, the transaction is recorded on the bank’s database. With Bitcoin or any other digital currencies, transactions are stored on blockchains.

If you send 1 USDT to your friend, that transaction will be recorded on a particular block of the blockchain. Since blockchain is public and decentralized, anyone can access the data. So if you’re wondering “Where’s my USDT”, you can check it out in seconds.

2 Steps To Find Your Transaction On The Blockchain

1. Find the Transaction Identity Number (TXID)

All blockchain transactions come with a transaction hash or ID (TXID) so that you can easily find them on the blockchain afterward. The TXID consists of letters and numbers.

A TxID looks like this:

f4184fc596403b9d638783cf57adfe4c75c605f6356fbc91338530e9831e9e16

2. Open a Block Explorer

Depending on which type of USDT you’re using, you can choose the corresponding blockchain explorer to check your address.

There are some of the USDT blockchain explorers, click on the link next to the coin you purchased and enter either your wallet address or the blockchain transaction ID in the website search bar

Block ExplorerSupports

https://tronscan.org/#/USDT-TRC20,TRON
https://www.blockchain.com/explorerBTC, USDT-OMNI
https://explorer.solana.com/SOL, USDT(SOL)
https://explorer.avax.network/AVAX, USDT(AVAX)

Block or blockchain explorers work just like a search engine. So the process it’s pretty straightforward: enter the TXID and click ‘Search’. If the transaction is found on the blockchain, most likely it will display the following basic details:

  • Transaction date
  • From (wallet address)
  • To (wallet address)
  • Fees (including fee per byte and weight unit)
  • Total amount (in cryptocurrency)
  • Block number (where the transaction is stored)
